Tõlluste Ecofarm

Saaremaa is an island in Estonia, where wild nature and the cold maritime climate create ideal conditions for growing unique plants and herbs. The rare plants of Saaremaa have adapted to these conditions, developing valuable essential oils, nutrients, and antioxidants. These special properties help boost overall vitality and, with regular use, can slow down skin aging.

Our production process covers every stage

From growing and harvesting plants to drying them and making extracts.

At the moment, our Tõlluste eco-farm has 100 registered plant types:

  • 45 are wild harvested
  • 55 are grown using organic farming methods and are certified under EU organic regulations (No. 834/2007 and 889/2008)

For cosmetic production, we use:

  • 55 organic and conventional extracts with COSMOS Organic certification (issued by BDIH)
  • 3 organic distillates
  • 8 types of dried berries and plants

An extract is a pharmaceutical preparation made by extracting active substances from plant raw materials. It is usually a concentrated and purified form of a plant infusion. In 2016, the farm received equipment that allows us to produce extracts on-site.

Some extracts, such as cornflower, white clover, sage, and calendula extracts — are produced in volumes of up to 20 tons per season.

Shop

The manor has its own on-site shop, offering a wide range of products made with extracts from Saaremaa’s rare plants. All ingredients are grown in our own fields, combining traditional knowledge with modern natural cosmetics. Visitors can explore the full range and take home a piece of Tõlluste mõis’s unique natural heritage.
